Events
During the festival you will have the opportunity to enjoy Hungarian culture and traditions. For example you can get to know Hungarian food, Balaton wines, Hungarian dance and swim in the fresh Balaton lake water. We are also preparing a folk dance flash mob.
Surprise programmes are being prepared as well – we are keeping them secret until the event.
Come and enjoy the last weekend of the year with international athletes! If you have been here before, this will be a new experience for you, and if you have not been here before, now is the time to experience the atmosphere of the Balaton Pétanque Festival.
We will be introducing new initiatives at this year’s festival. There will be a new location, some additional sports.
Day 1 (08/28/2025)
Place: Badacsonytördemic, Herczeg Ferenc Beach
8.00 – 8.30 – Confirmation of registration for the petanque competition
9.00 am – Mixed doubles petanque competition
10.00 am – Mini Frisbee competition
2.00 pm – Teqball presentation and speed competition
3.00 pm – Folk dance flashmob training
4.00 pm – Archery
5.00 pm – Official opening
All day Mölkky training for the international competition + various water sports on Lake Balaton.
You can register for the additional sports competition 30 minutes before the start of the competition.
Day 2 (08/29/2025)

10.00 am – Mini Frisbee competition
3.00 pm – Folk Dance, Zumba, Capoeira, Folk Dance Flash Mob Training
All day Mölkky training for the international competition + various water sports on Lake Balaton.
You can register for the additional sports competition 30 minutes before the start of the competition.
Day 3 (08/30/2025)
Place: BSE Sports Centre, Szigliget
8:00 – 8:30 – Confirmation of registration for the petanque competition
9:00 – Doubles petanque competition
10:00 – Mölkky warm up (possibility of training all day)
2.00 pm – No Stress Cup (singles)
3.00 pm – Folk dance flash mob training
Day 4 (08/31/2025)
Place: Festetics Palace, Keszthely
9.00 am – Pétanque competitions KO (knock-out stages: Mixed doubles, Triplets, Doubles)
Details will be announced at the venues on the day of each competition!
9.00 am – 3rd Balaton International Mölkky Doubles Tournament
11.00 am – Singles petanque competition
Registration is possible on the spot. After the qualifying mixed doubles, triples and doubles. Everyone has the possibility to participate in the singles competition, except the quarter finalists of the previous competitions.
5.00 pm Closing Ceremony with results announcement, folk dance flash mob performance
All day sports activities for everyone: frisbee, teqball, badminton, capoeira, etc.
