The first Balaton Pétanque Festival was held in 2022 and opened by FIPJP President Claude Azema.
Its predecessor was Szigliget Cup, an international tournament whose popularity attracted players from many countries including from outside Europe.
Our tournaments have attracted players from 28 countries.

We regret to inform you that due to an unforeseen force majeure situation, the 2025 Balaton Pétanque Festival will not take place.
The new date is: September 10–13, 2026.
Refunds for already registered participants have been initiated.
At this time, we are unable to disclose the reason for the force majeure.
